Discussing the electronic collection mechanism for land transport fees in Al-Bayda

 

A meeting in Sana’a, which included the Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, and the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, discussed the mechanism of electronic collection of land transport fees in the governorate through post offices.

The meeting, which was attended by Charmin of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Walid Al-Waadi, and the governorate’s deputy, Mutahir Al-Maori, reviewed the importance of working with the electronic collection system in organizing land transport for various means of transport, especially heavy transport, and overcoming the problems caused by the use of vouchers and manual supply wallets.

The Minister of Transport stressed the importance of making use of technology to facilitate the procedures for collecting and controlling resources, especially in the field of land transport, in implementation of the directives of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council to automate administrative and financial work in the state sectors.

He praised the cooperation of the local authority in Al-Bayda Governorate in facilitating the work of the branch of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, which contributes to alleviating congestion and organizing lines and sorting within the capital and districts of Al-Bayda Governorate.

In turn, the governor of Al-Bayda confirmed the keenness of the governorate leadership to organize the transportation process, especially the collection of revenues electronically, by providing facilities to the authority’s branch in a way that contributes to the organization of itineraries and sorting.

While the head of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority indicated that the electronic collection will have a tangible impact in facilitating the collection process and reducing the burdens on workers in this aspect.
