Discussing the mechanism for implementing the electronic cash project for land transport services

a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport, Mohammed Al-Hashemi, discussed the mechanism for implementing the electronic cash project for land transport services.

The meeting, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for the Land Transport Sector, Abdulmalik Sharaf Al-Din, and the technical team implementing the project from the Land Transport Authority and private sector partners, reviewed the features and services that the project will provide to the transport sector.
The meeting discussed the time plan approved for the implementation of the project in Ibb Governorate as a first stage and the steps taken in this aspect.

Deputy Minister of Transport stressed the role of the private sector and the ministry’s readiness to support efforts to implement the project and complete it on time and everything that would develop transportation services provided to citizens.

In turn, the head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Wadaei, pointed out the importance of the project in preserving the local currency, organizing and automating the land transport sector and reducing transportation fares.
