Discussion of the project to develop and expand the ports of Ras Issa and Salif in Hodeida

 

A meeting at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation in the port of Hodeida, Sunday, 26/12/2021 AD, headed by the CEO of the Corporation, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, discussed the project of developing and expanding Ras Issa and Salif ports.

The meeting, in the presence of the Vice President of the Corporation, Eng. Yahya Abbas Sharaf El-Din, and the Director of Saleef Port, Ahmed Atta, reviewed the details and components of the project and presented the activities associated with it.

In the meeting, Captain Ishaq stressed the importance of the project as a strategic project adopted by the government in accordance with the directions of the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state to activate the role of ports in a large way by relying on ports as an economic lever and keeping pace with global trends.

He pointed out that the project is relied upon by the government to advance the ports to the refineries of neighboring countries, since the Ras Issa and Saleef area is an investment area through the implementation of a number of strategic projects due to the features that the region enjoys from great depths and natural protection.

The meeting was attended by the general managers of the CEO’s office of the Corporation, the project departments, engineering supervision, planning, statistics, marine operations, container terminal, legal affairs, docks, yards, follow-up, and the chief engineer in the Chairman’s office.
