The Minister of Transport stresses the importance of preserving the lands and campuses of Sana’a International Airport

 

The Minister of Transport, Amer Al-Marani, stressed the importance of preserving the lands of Sanaa International Airport from attacks.

Minister Al-Marani warned during his visit to the territories and the sanctuary of Sana’a International Airport from the repeated attacks on the lands and campuses of the airport.

“The lands and sanctuaries of Sanaa airport are a red line, and those who attack them will be deterred because they are the property of the airport and the homeland,” he said.

Minister Al-Marani affirmed that he would work hard to curb this phenomenon that hinders development, construction and reconstruction in the field of civil aviation and air navigation in the Republic of Yemen.

He indicated that those who attack the airport’s grounds and lands serve the aggression and seek to achieve its goals and plans.

The Minister of Transport, along with the Deputy for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, reviewed the lands allocated for expansion works at Sana’a Airport with the aim of developing and modernizing the airport.

The Minister Al-Marani also inspected the transfer building at the airport and the services it provides, and directed the speedy maintenance work for it, which contributes to the revitalization and development of work.

The Minister of Transport heard from the Director General of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, an explanation of the airport’s workflow and the services it provides for international flights and its affiliated organizations and humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

He referred to the technical and operational readiness of the airport and the services provided by the airport to the United Nations and its affiliated organizations, stressing that the airport provides its services in accordance with international requirements and the International Aviation Organization “ICAO
