Implementation of maintenance for the asphalt yard of the Salif port berth

The maintenance of the asphalt yard for the berth of Salif port is currently being implemented under Tender No. 7 for the year 2021 AD, which is implemented by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges and is supervised by the General Administration of Projects and Engineering Supervision of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation.

The Director General of Projects and Engineering Supervision, Engineer Sami Abdullah Maqboli, explained that the implementation of the maintenance and rehabilitation process for the asphalt yard of the Salif port berth comes under the directives of the leadership of the Corporation represented by Captain Mohammed Abu Bakr Ishaq and in the light of the study prepared in advance by the Corporation with a total area of ​​(17,400 square meters) and a cost of approximately (147 million riyals) ) Self-financed by the Foundation.

 

He explained that the maintenance process for the yard has not been carried out since its entry into service in the year 1997 AD, and that conducting the maintenance process now will have a positive impact on the smoothness of movement and ease of operation at the Salif port, as this yard is used for unloading and shipping goods to and from ships, as well as for loading goods trucks to the markets.
