Inauguration of the installation of stamps itineraries for sorting taxi buses in the capital

The office of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs and the Traffic Department of the Capital Municipality launched a campaign to install the new stamp for the sorting routes of taxi buses in the Municipality.

In a week, the campaign aims to install the new stamp for more than 16 thousand taxi buses operating in 59 routes in various areas of the Capital Municipality, with the aim of organizing sorting work and reducing traffic jams.

During the inauguration of the Farzah Al-Hasaba – Tahrir itinerary at Al-Darafi Stadium, the Director of the Office of the Transport Authority in the Municipality, Muhammad Al-Shahari, explained that bus drivers are required to bring two personal photos, ownership documents, license and identity card, and pay stamp fees.

He said that priority will be given to the printing press buses operating in the same line who carry metal fare plates, and the number of buses operating in the lines will be approved according to the specified capacity, banning any bus that does not carry a stamp, and obligating all buses to enter to sort out and apprehend violators.

Al-Shahari stated that there are more than 27 new itineraries in the peripheral areas of the Municipality and some deprived neighborhoods in the districts, and a number of buses will be introduced and normalized to work on them to cover the needs of citizens.

The director of the authority’s office confirmed that all those who collect any fees outside the screening process or without official documents or in the itineraries will be arrested, in cooperation with the security.

He called on the bus drivers on the Al-Hasaba screening – Tahrir itinerary to quickly install the new stamp and adhere to the work mechanism and the clarified instructions to prevent randomness and organize the sorting work and itineraries in the Municipality of the Capital
