Land Transport: The prescribed fare for bus and bus users in the Capital Municipality is 100 riyals

The General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs confirmed that the prescribed fare for bus and bus users in the Capital Municipality is only 100 riyals.

The authority stressed, in its meeting today, chaired by the authority’s president, Walid Al-Waadi, the necessity of bus and bus drivers in all sorting of routes in the secretariat, the official price established “one hundred riyals” and working on it from today for the public interest and to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

The authority called on bus and coach drivers not to raise the price so that they would not be subjected to legal accountability and to refer them to the security authorities to take appropriate measures against them.

It called on citizens to report any violation of the official pricing approved by the authority on the toll-free number “8000007”, or through the authority’s social networking website and pages.

The meeting, in the presence of representatives of the relevant authorities and the Director General of the Authority’s branch in the Secretariat, Muhammad Al-Shahari, and the Director of Traffic of the Secretariat, Colonel Ahmed Al-Qahoum, discussed the arrangements for field visits from the authority and the relevant security authorities to sorting and itineraries in the Secretariat to ensure that drivers comply with the pricing established by the authority and to arrest violators.
