Meteorology expects cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates

The National Center of Meteorology expected that the weather will be cold to very cold, with the possibility of frost forming in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its air bulletin the continuous impact of the mountainous heights and parts of deserts and inland plateaus by the cold air mass .

He pointed out that the weather will be cold to very cold, with the possibility of frost forming in the high parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda and Al-Dhale.

He stated that the weather will be cold in the high-altitude areas of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout governorates, as well as in the desert areas during the night and early morning hours .

The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people, and workers during the night and early morning hours of the sharp drop in low temperatures, calling for taking necessary precautions to prevent severe cold shocks .

He urged farmers, livestock herders and beekeepers to protect agricultural crops, livestock and apiaries from the effects of cold .

He also warned sea goers and ship captains of sea turbulence and high waves in the southern parts of the western coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center indicated that the lowest temperatures recorded this morning are as follows: Amran: 0.5 degrees, Dhamar: one degree; Sanaa: two degrees; Blockage: 5.5; Release: 8.8; bad: 9.2; Mahwit: 9.3
