Meteorology warns of a wave of dust in some Yemeni governorates

The National Center of Meteorology has warned citizens that some Yemeni governorates will be affected by a wave of dust during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center warned citizens, especially the sick, children and the elderly, against direct exposure to dust and dirt plankton.

He also warned motorists on desert roads, interior plateaus and mountainous heights of low horizontal visibility due to dust and dirt plankton.. He warned residents of desert areas, coastal plains, and the southern and eastern coasts of high temperatures during the afternoon.

The center indicated that the weather in the mountainous heights is generally clear and pieces of cumulus clouds will form in the afternoon on separate parts of the western mountainous highlands, while the weather will be clear and dry in general with active winds and the presence of dust plankton during the day.

In the coastal areas, the weather will be generally clear, hot and humid, with maximum temperatures ranging between “37-42 degrees Celsius” and relatively dusty during the day, and moderate winds with speeds of up to 18 knots that stir dust and sand.

The center stated that the weather in desert areas will be hot and dry, with maximum temperatures ranging between “37-41 degrees Celsius, and relatively dusty to dusty during the day, and moderate to strong winds with speeds of up to 20 knots that stir dust and sand.”

While the weather in Socotra archipelago will be partly cloudy to cloudy, scattered rain is expected, and winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, with speeds of up to 20 knots.
