Minister of Transport: Investment opportunities in the transport sectors are successful by all standards

 

The Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Yahya Al-Durra, stressed the importance of investment opportunities in the various transport sectors.

Minister Al-Durra said, in a meeting held that included the Chairman of the General Investment Authority, Yasser Al-Mansour, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, “The investment opportunities in the transport sectors are successful by all standards, especially in the various fields of land transport.”

He pointed out that the meeting comes within the framework of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council to activate and revitalize investment projects of importance in terms of improving services and developing them on the basis and criteria of economic feasibility.

Al-Durra called on the private sector, investors and local capital to invest and establish quality and service investment projects in the field of land transport.

He stressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all aspects of support and facilities necessary for the private sector and investors to invest in various fields of transport.

For his part, the Chairman of the Investment Authority noted the importance of investing in the transport sectors, stressing the authority’s readiness to present strategies for investment opportunities in the field of land transport that would benefit the investor, the country and the citizen.

The meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Investment Authority, Muhammad Al-Farzai, the head of the main executive unit at the Ministry of Transport, Engineer Nazir Al-Dabai, and the Investment Authority advisor, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shami, discussed investment opportunities and projects in the various transport sectors and the mechanism for their promotion and development
