Ministry of Transport: aggression’s detention of oil derivative vessels, considering it a war crime and genocide against the Yemeni people.

The Ministry of Transport confirmed that the aggression’s detention of oil derivative ships and preventing it from entering the port of Hodeida is a war crime and genocide for the Yemeni people.

In a statement, the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies and institutions denounced the Saudi aggression coalition’s detention of oil derivative vessels in the Red Sea and the threat of any ship being hit by it if it moved to the port of Hodeida.

The statement touched that the detained ships obtained UNVIM permits (the United Nations Inspection and Verification Mechanism in Djibouti) in order for the ships to be entered smoothly and to ensure the flow of ships into the port of Hodeida.

“The detention of ships affected the lives of citizens in general and internal transport in particular of various types, including the transportation of goods and basic foodstuffs to the governorates, which negatively affected the transportation and its humanitarian services that it provides to various segments of Yemeni society,” the statement said.

The statement stressed that the coalition of aggression practices maritime piracy and the most heinous brutal crimes that are incompatible with all divine legislation and international laws and agreements and with the explicit complicity of the U.N.

The statement pointed out that the removal of the name of the Saudi aggression coalition from the list of killing Yemeni children by the Secretary-General of the United Nations is a clear signal to give the Saudi aggression the green light to kill the rest of the children of Yemen to show that ugly destination to the United Nations in not doing its assigned role according to the laws of its establishment.

The statement pointed out that preventing the entry of oil derivatives is a dangerous indicator that targets all groups of the Yemeni people, pointing to the implications of detaining direct oil ships on all different means of transport and stopping them in all governorates of the Republic.

The statement noted that oil derivatives are one of the main factors of transportation, as they are the main engine in operating different sizes of means of transport that travel between governorates and meet the needs of citizens.

The statement stated that the detention of oil derivative ships means stopping transportation and stopping all life services in hospitals and other services that the Yemeni citizen depends on.

The Ministry renewed its call to the international community and all international organizations to stop the aggression, lift the blockade, and allow the entry of oil derivatives, and assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities towards the war crimes alliance’s actions and flagrant violations of all international covenants and laws.
