The People’s Parliament reviewed the statement issued by the Council regarding support for the Palestinian cause, in which it expressed its deep regret and concern about the weak and shameful stances of some Arab and Islamic parliaments and governments towards the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

He called on all Arab and Islamic parliaments to feel their humanitarian and moral responsibility and to review the shameful stances of some rulers towards the issue of Palestine and the grievances of the Yemeni people and the peoples of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Libya, and what they are exposed to, especially the Yemeni people, from aggression and siege for the seventh year in a row.

In its statement, Parliament of the Republic of Yemen called for a speedy halt to all forms of normalization with the Israeli entity, and to work to support the Palestinian cause in international forums and all issues, including the grievances of the Yemeni people.

The Council asked, “Where are the Arab and Islamic parliaments, from the position of the Liberal Democrats, the third largest British party in Parliament, which recently agreed by a majority to ban goods from the settlements of the Israeli entity from British markets, grant the Palestinians the right to visit the United Kingdom without an entry visa, and commit to the immediate recognition of the State of Palestine?” and prevent British companies from operating in settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Parliament of the Republic of Yemen highly valued these decisions, and considered them the awakening of a human conscience, a first step in the right path towards the Palestinian cause, and a bright spot in light of the failure of the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and its institutions and bodies, towards the suffering of the oppressed and overpowered peoples.

Parliament  called on all the free people in the world to follow the example of those positive attitudes in support of oppressed peoples who yearn for freedom and to live in peace.

In the session, the people’s representatives blessed the victories achieved by the heroes of the army, the popular committees, and the free tribesmen on all fronts, the most recent of which were the victories in Ma’rib, al-Bayda and others.
