Parliament reviews Transportation & Communications Committee report

Parliament, in its session , chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, reviewed the report of the Transportation and Communications Committee on the request to ratify the Montreal Convention of 1999, concerning the unification of some international air transport rules with regard to air transport compensation.

The report included an overview of the agreement ,the most important elements it contained, as well as its contents, the committee’s observations and inquiries regarding the agreement.

The report touched on the benefits that will accrue to Yemen through the ratification of the agreement, and the Cabinet’s reservations about some of its clauses.

The Council postponed its discussion of the report to a future session in the presence of the concerned government side.
