Parliament starts discussion of several issues in presence of head, members of Salvation Government

The House of Representatives, chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, began on Saturday the discussion of several issues of priority, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor and members of the government.

At the meeting, the House Speaker welcomed the Prime Minister and the government members, noting that the stage the country is going through requires concerted efforts and cooperation between the constitutional authorities to confront the economic conspiracies hatched against the country.

He stressed the importance of focusing discussions within the framework of the important axes and points that were previously approved by the members of the House according to the priorities and determinants of each party separately.

For his part, the head of the Salvation Government appreciated the efforts made by the Speaker and members of the House of Representatives, including their interest in following up and discussing points and issues of concern to the country and citizens, foremost among them the sovereign wealth of oil and gas, which is being looted by the aggression coalition and its tools.

Dr. Bin Habtoor touched on the difficulties and challenges facing the government due to the continued repercussions of the aggression and the blockade, which call for concerted efforts to overcome the difficulties and fulfill all the necessary obligations according to what is possible and available.

In the session, the members of the House of Representatives emphasized, in the context of their discussions, the need for the government to work to implement what was stated in the points being discussed, including the commitment to submit budgets and final accounts within the specified constitutional dates.

The House decided to continue the discussion in the presence of the prime minister and members of the government and to come up with effective solutions.
