PM discusses with the Minister of Transport the Ministry’s plans and programs

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor met  with Minister of Transport Abdul Wahab Al-Durra.

The meeting discussed the main features of the plans, programs and activities of the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies and institutions for the year 1444 AH, in the various fields of transport and upgrading them to provide distinguished, safe and quality services that contribute to alleviating the suffering of the citizen.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the role of the Ministry of Transport and its bodies and institutions in the development of the national economy.

He pointed out that transportation in its various fields, land, sea and air, is the lifeline of the Yemeni citizen in terms of providing his basic needs, most notably food and medicine, and facilitating his movement.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts made by the leadership of the ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions to maintain its technical and professional readiness and provide its services to the Yemeni people despite the siege and aggression.. He urged the ministry to continuously develop and modernize its various tasks and activities in a way that contributes to strengthening its role in serving the steadfast Yemeni people in the face of aggression.

He stressed the need for the extension of the truce to include the opening of new destinations for flights from Sanaa International Airport, especially to countries that patients, students and expatriates go to.

In turn, the Minister of Transport reviewed the projects and initiatives of the national vision that had been implemented during the last period, pointing to the efforts of the Ministry and the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority in developing the performance of airports in accordance with the technical requirements of the International Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 

He referred to the provisions of the truce that were implemented in the humanitarian aspect, especially with regard to air, sea and land transportation, and the opening of airports, ports and main roads to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
