President Al-Mashat meets with Minister of Transport and his deputy

President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat met today with the Minister of Transport Abdul Wahab Al-Durra and his deputy, Muhammad Al-Hashemi.

During the meeting, they discussed the situation of the transport sector, the port of Hodeidah and the difficulties it faces as a result of the US-Saudi aggression and the siege on the Yemeni people.

The meeting dealt with the killing, looting and violations of the coalition of aggression and its mercenaries, the latest of which was the killing of the child Akram Al-Azazi, as well as the citizen Khaled Abdullah from the Ibb governorate, who was subjected to extortion and murder by bandits in the areas under the control of the aggression.

In the meeting, President Al-Mashat confirmed that the repeated cancellation of flights scheduled for the provisions of the humanitarian truce through Sana’a International Airport constitutes a clear repudiation of the decisions of the truce by the aggression coalition.

President Al-Mashat said, “The sudden cancellation of flights deprives citizens of benefiting from this truce, considering it almost non-existent.”

President Al-Mashat pointed to the importance of opening roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Taiz governorate, and in the rest of the governorates.

For his part, Minister of Transport touched on the problems and obstacles faced by citizens and owners of transport locomotives, looting of their properties, and killing in dirt roads as a result of the aggression and its mercenaries cut off the main roads eligible for transport, which doubles transportation costs, leads to higher prices and exacerbates the suffering of citizens.

Al Duraa stressed that opening the main roads eligible for transportation would constitute a major breakthrough for citizens and alleviate their suffering.

The meeting was attended by, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq
