Red Sea Ports, Land Transport Affairs Authority, and Hodeidah Port Customs condemn the detention of oil ships

 

The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs, the port of Hodeidah Customs and the Trade Union for Shipping and Unloading Workers condemned the continuation of the Saudi-American aggression coalition in detaining fuel, food and medicine ships.

In statements issued by her, which were delivered today to the United Nations Office in Al Hudaydah Governorate, she stressed that preventing the entry of oil derivatives would cause a humanitarian catastrophe, against the Yemeni people as a result of the stoppage of many vital facilities, services, industrial and economic in the country and the expansion of the cycle of poverty and unemployment and the spread of epidemics and diseases.

It denounced the silence of the flawed United Nations and human rights organizations, regarding war crimes, killing and genocide committed by the Aggression Alliance against the Yemeni people over five years of aggression and siege.

The statements considered the practices of the arbitrary aggression coalition to tighten the siege and detain oil ships, food, medicine and relief supplies despite obtaining entry permits from the United Nations to the port of Hodeidah, a crime against the Yemeni people, and a flagrant violation of norms, charters and international humanitarian law.

The data pointed to the direct and indirect catastrophic repercussions on economic and living activity, restriction of efforts to fight the new Corona pandemic, “Covid-19”, and the cost of transportation doubled due to the lack of fuel and the high value of commodities and basic foodstuffs.

The statements called on the International Transport Workers Union (ITF), public unions and civil society organizations to condemn and denounce barbaric practices and behaviors, especially in light of the worsening living conditions and health of Yemenis due to the continued aggression and the siege.

It appealed to the conscience and the United Nations and its human rights organizations to intervene to stop the practices of the arbitrary aggression alliance countries in seizing oil derivatives ships … holding the international community responsible for silence and neglect regarding the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The statements reaffirmed the necessity of neutralizing the economy, accepting the initiatives of the Supreme Political Council, the Salvation Government, and the industrial chambers of commerce in this regard, lifting the blockade of ports, airports, and land ports, and looking at the economic issue with an eye of responsibility and neutrality.

During the handover of statements, the acting governor of the governor, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, praised the steadfastness of the people of Hodeidah in the face of the aggression and its escalation, stressing that the Yemeni people will not bow or submit to the legions of aggression, regardless of the size of the challenges and sacrifices, and will face the challenge with the challenge until victory is achieved.

He praised the fourth deterrent balance operation that targeted military sites deep inside the Saudi enemy, including the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and Intelligence in Riyadh and Salman Air Force Base.

In turn, Deputy CEO of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Eng. Yahya Abbas Sharaf Al-Din, pointed out that the facts today on the ground, especially in the governorates and occupied areas, have proved false.

He pointed out that the free people of Yemen, with the help of God, and the resisting national project led by the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, will not have an eye except for them to liberate their lands from the abomination of aggression and occupation and those behind them, their conspiracies and their criminal plans against Yemen, the land and the human being.
