Signing a memorandum of understanding for the electronic collection of the branches of the Land Transport Authority

 

The General Authority for Land Transport Affairs and Unicom for Information Technology signed today in Sana’a a memorandum of understanding to simulate electronic collection “electronic portals, payment and control system”, for the authority’s branches in various governorates under the control of the Supreme Political Council.

The memorandum of understanding, which was signed by the head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Abdullah Al-Wadei, and for the company “UNICOM Yemen”, the company’s general manager, Muhammad Abdul-Malik, aims to develop and automate electronic gate systems for all ports affiliated with the authority, in order to manage and follow up the transport lines of trucks and large, medium and light carriers.

The memorandum includes preparing an operations room in an electronic form, and benefiting from modern systems and technology to improve the services of the authority.

During the signing, the head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs pointed to the importance of benefiting from modern technology and information technology, which contributes to facilitating work in the field of land transport and developing it in modern ways, in a manner that serves the public interest.

The signing was attended by the Director of the General Department of Systems and Information at the authority, Hisham Al-Kahlani, and the director of sales for Unicom, Hatem Aslan
