The arrival of the gasoline ship SANDS to the port of Hodeida

 

Thursday 7-4-2022 AD, the oil ship SANDS arrived at commercial berth No. (4) in Al-Hodeida port,  loaded with quantities of gasoline.

The Governor of Hodeida, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, praised the keenness of the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the Oil Company to quickly complete the procedures for receiving and unloading the shipment of fuel ships arriving at the port in accordance with the truce recently announced by the United Nations.

While the deputy governor, Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Muhammad, called on the coalition of aggression to release the remaining seized fuel ships to end the crisis in the governorates, meet the needs of citizens and alleviate their suffering in light of their detention for long periods.

In turn, the Executive Vice President of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yahya Abbas Sharaf Al-Din, stated that the ambulance ship “Sundus”, loaded with a quantity of 32,332 tons of gasoline, arrived at the port of Hodeida after it was detained by the coalition of aggression for thirty days.

He pointed out that there is a SPLENDOUR SAPPHIR diesel ship for power stations, which arrived on Tuesday 4-5-2022 AD as well, and its shipment is currently unloading, stressing the port’s readiness to receive all oil and food vessels.

For his part, Deputy Executive Director General of the Yemeni Oil Company, Mohammed Hassan Al-Koumi, pointed out that the company has completed the laboratory examination procedures to ensure that the materials conform to the approved specifications of the ship “Sundus”, and the unloading process of the arriving ships’ cargo is currently underway.

He pointed out that the arrival of those oil ships to the berths of the port of Hodeida remains insufficient in light of the crisis and the great need of the Yemeni people for fuel.
