The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority celebrates International Quality Day

The Republic of Yemen, represented by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, celebrated with the rest of the world the International Quality Day, which falls on the ninth of November every year.
At the event, which was organized by the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector at the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority under the slogan “Quality is Everyone’s Responsibility,” the Authority’s Undersecretary, Raed Jabal, stressed the Authority’s keenness in its various sectors to apply comprehensive quality standards in all activities and services, especially those related to aviation safety.
He praised the advanced level the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector has reached in applying comprehensive quality standards, noting the importance of maintaining this level in terms of adherence to international standards and best professional practices, and increasing the effectiveness and quality of services.
For his part, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, pointed out that celebrating World Quality Day every year represents an important milestone for reviewing the level of performance. He pointed out that the quality system for the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector focuses on applying international standards with the aim of Ensuring permanent development.
Abu Talib appreciated the interest and keenness of the leadership of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority in this sector in its various fields and activities, especially in the technical, professional, training and qualification aspects. In accordance with international requirements and conditions and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
While the Director of Quality and Technical Audit in the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector, Karam Qais, explained that quality in the civil aviation industry is not just a technical issue, but it is also an issue of an institutional culture that depends on good planning, perfect implementation, continuous monitoring, data analysis, use of modern technology, and continuous learning. .
At the conclusion of the celebration, the Authority’s Undersecretary honored the employees and members of the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector with a certificate of honor. In recognition of the distinguished efforts they make in maintaining the quality management system in the aviation safety affairs sector.
