The Civil Aviation Authority organizes a party on the occasion of the International Day of Firefighters

 

The Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, represented by the airports sector, the General Directorate of Fire and Rescue, organized an honoring ceremony on the occasion of the International Day of Firefighters, May 4th.

The Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, stressed the importance of reviving this occasion to highlight the humanitarian role played by firefighters in saving lives and property from fire disasters.

He pointed to the importance of the role of firefighters and rescuers at the republic’s airports in general and Sana’a International Airport in particular in quickly extinguishing the fires caused by the aggression coalition as a result of its targeting of a number of civilian aircraft parked at the airport.
Minister Al-Durra pointed out that the firefighters and rescuers scored championships by putting out the fires for the planes and buildings that were targeted by the aggression at Sana’a airport deliberately, ignoring the laws and international agreements that prohibit this.. explaining that they worked professionally and professionally.

He stressed the keenness to develop and build the capabilities of the firefighters and provide their needs of machinery and equipment. He pointed to the interest of the Supreme Political Council in the airports of the Republic and the rehabilitation and equipment of the airports of Hodeidah and Taiz due to their importance in providing humanitarian services to all the Yemeni people.

In turn, the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Qader, pointed out the authority’s keenness to provide all support to the firefighters and rescuers at the republic’s airports, stressing the importance of having a firefighting and rescue department at any international airport, and it must be at a high level of technical and professional training.

For his part, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Airports Sector at the Authority, Yahya Al-Kahlani, confirmed that the firefighters work 24 hours a day and with high readiness in anticipation of any emergency at the airports of the Republic.
While the speech of the honorees delivered by Ibrahim Al-Kahlani expressed thanks for this honor, stressing the continuation of working efficiently to protect the airports of the Republic of Yemen.

The ceremony, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation Authority, Raed Jabal, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Aviation Security and Safety Sector, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, and the directors of the airports sector, Amin Jamaan, Sana’a Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, the firefighter, Saleh Al-Ahjari, and the air transport, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, presented two presentations on aviation accidents. And how to confront it, the emergency plan and the participating parties.
