The conclusion of a training course in Sana’a in the field of meteorological services

A training course on weather hazards in aviation and meteorological services for international air navigation and maritime navigation was concluded at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology today.

The course, which was organized in two weeks by the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, aimed at training 12 participants from the meteorological sector, and introducing them to the types of weather risks that affect air and sea navigation.

The course, which comes within the Authority’s training plan, focused on the most prominent activities and services provided by the meteorologists to air navigation. From bulletins and reports on the weather accompanying aviation at take-off, landing and during flight, especially since bad weather is a major factor in many aviation accidents.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Meteorological Sector, Engineer Mohamed Saeed Hamid, the Director of the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Naji Al-Sahmi, a number of directors of departments at the Institute and training staff, and a number of directors in general in the sector.
