The Council of Ministers approves the draft resolution defining the areas of the Ta’izz International Airport campus

The Council approved the draft resolution submitted by the Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, on the amendment of Cabinet Decision No. (96) for the year 2008, on the determination of the areas of the Ta ‘izz International Airport campus, in addition to the future development plan of the Ta’ izz Airport for the next 50 years, which comes within the framework of the rehabilitation, development and operation of the airport, from its vital function serving a large population density of 10 million people.

The Council of Ministers has formed a committee headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs and members of all ministries and relevant bodies, as well as the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and the Governor of Ta ‘izz, to complete the necessary procedures for the implementation of the resolution with the headquarters amendment, ensure its implementation and develop the executive mechanism of the airport’s development plan.

The decision is made to determine the airport campus in a scientific manner, to ensure that the real-time and future need for land for 50 years is strictly met, to ensure that the requirements of aviation security and safety are met and to preserve the land and property of the Muslim State of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology for use for the operation of Ta ‘izz International Airport and the future expansion of the airport outlined in the future plan.

The Council of Ministers confirmed that the airport campus schemes, which are annexed to the draft amendment, are an integral part of this resolution.
