The Epidemic Control Committee discusses the level of implementation of decisions to tackle Corona

The Ministerial Committee for Combating Epidemics, at its meeting today, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, reviewed the level of implementation of the decisions of the committee and its program established by the Council of Ministers for the gradual normalization of life.

The meeting reviewed a detailed report presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Hussein Makbouli, on the activities of the committee and the health situation regarding the Corona pandemic at the national level in general.

The report touched on the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and Population and its medical, health and technical teams towards those affected by this epidemic and the responsible cooperation of the various ministries and government and local agencies in the process of confrontation and limiting its spread, noting the role of a number of national and international agencies in assigning the health sector and its humanitarian activity in fighting Corona in the secretariat of the capital and the provinces.

The meeting heard the opinions and proposals of the members of the committee on a number of topics related to the progress of the measures to combat the epidemic and its impact on the citizen in all aspects of his life and the need to take appropriate decisions taking into account their health and safety.

The committee took, in light of its discussions, a number of decisions that strengthened the process of facing corona at various levels, including the therapeutic aspect of the injured, and instructed the relevant authorities to take executive measures and provide the committee with reports on the levels of the executive up-to-date.

The meeting appreciated the important initiatives of the local and international bodies that supported the health sector in the face of this epidemic, including the group of Hayel Saeed Anam companies that contributed to the delivery of two shipments of medical materials related to confronting Corona, as well as the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the International Red Cross to provide medical supplies that represent a real and urgent need for Yemen In light of the aggression and the blockade.

The meeting directed the Ministries of Information, Endowments and Guidance to continue to raise community awareness of the seriousness of the pandemic without intimidating or underestimating the situation and continuing to mobilize community support for government plans to limit the spread of the epidemic
