The House of Representatives holds its session in the presence of the President and members of the Salvation Government

The House of Representatives held its session today under the chairmanship of Brother Yahya Ali Al-Rai, in the presence of the President of the National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, and members of the government.

At the beginning of the session, the President of the Council welcomed the President and members of the government, expressing thanks for their presence at the request of the Council, regarding the interrogation submitted by Council member Abdo Mohamed Bisher addressed to the President and members of the Salvation Government.

He expressed his appreciation for the government’s interaction with the council, which comes within the framework of integrating performance between the legislative and executive branches in accordance with the tasks assigned and regulations organizing with a view to setting remedies for imbalances and shortcomings that impede the functioning of the performance and the search for possible solutions to overcome difficulties in light of the continued aggression and blockade.

Brother Yahya Ali Al-Rai, Chairman and members of the Salvation Government, urged to redouble efforts to improve government performance and alleviate the burdens that burdened the citizen in various aspects of life.

He stressed the need for the government to carry out the tasks and duties entrusted to it, especially with regard to implementing all the recommendations issued by the council and what was included in the interrogation and informing the council of what has been implemented of them and what has not been done and the reasons for that.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives pointed out that Yemen possesses a legislative system that has no counterpart in the Arab region, which represents a source of pride and pride for all the people of Yemen, calling on all to cooperate and apply the laws and regulations in force to address all imbalances.

He pointed out that the government can, if there is a need or necessity to make amendments to some articles of laws, the Council can do so to keep pace with developments.

The interrogation included a number of issues, most notably in relation to high prices, oil derivatives and unreasonable exchange, as well as with regard to the release of prisoners, prison conditions and public freedoms, in addition to matters relating to non-payment of salaries, the expansion of the cycle of poverty, the spread of diseases and epidemics, as well as appointments, exclusions and settlements.

The interrogation also included matters related to dialogue, unification of the home front, and the necessity of informing the Council of what was reached in the dialogues and meetings held with the UN envoy or international organizations, as well as with regard to internal and external communication.

The interrogation indicated that the government did not implement the recommendations of the House of Representatives and the directives of the authorities and regulatory agencies .. It also included other topics related to exchange rates, banks, investment, and others.

For his part, the Prime Minister, in his name and the members of the Salvation Government, expressed thanks and appreciation to the President and members of the Presidency of the House of Representatives, members of the Council and to the member of the House of Representatives who submitted the questioning.

He pointed out that there is an exaggeration in some terms .. pointing out that the conditions that our country is going through are exceptional circumstances and an abnormal situation at all due to the continued aggression and siege.

“We in the National Salvation Government adhere to all the recommendations issued by the House of Representatives, taking into account the exceptional circumstances that our country is going through,” he said, noting that the government is performing its work and carrying out the duties assigned to it according to what is possible and available.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the members of the House of Representatives represent a great, resistant and resilient people in the face of aggression for five years.

The Council also heard the responses of the ministers regarding the issues that were included in the interrogation, each in connection with his ministry.

In the context of their discussions, the people’s deputies emphasized that what was mentioned in the interrogation issues or what is contained in the questions facing the government or ministers is not a matter of contention or phishing errors, but in order to evaluate the path and activate the positives and address the negatives wherever they are.

They expressed the council’s understanding of the current and exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through as a result of the continued aggression and the blockade, stressing their support and full support for the heroes of the army and the committees stationed on the fronts, the importance of giving priority to supporting the fronts, establishing security and stability, confronting the aggression and its conspiracies, and dropping its stakes.

The people’s deputies also expressed their pride and pride in the heroic stances, victories and achievements of the heroes of the army and the committees in confronting the aggression and its tools.

They pointed out that this does not prevent sensing the supervisory responsibility and strengthening the parliamentary oversight work .. pointing out that the transparency that was embodied in today’s session reflects a democratic and parliamentary experience and a civilized legacy that embodies the integration of the Yemeni state’s authorities to achieve the minimum level of success according to what is available under the force majeure That the Yemeni people go through.

The deputies blessed the people for the victories and the achievements that were achieved in the face of the aggression, which exceeded all moral and humanitarian considerations … stressing that Yemen is a country defending its sovereignty against a barbaric aggression.

They pointed out that the recognition of errors and imbalances is not a defect, but in order to search for solutions and treatments that would enhance and improve performance at all levels to alleviate the burdens that burdened the steadfast citizen in the face of aggression.

The people’s deputies considered today’s session, with its transparency, a message inside and out that the parliament embodies democracy and constitutional and legislative work in its best form, which is lacking in many countries of the region.

They urged the National Salvation Government to redouble efforts and take note of the observations received in the interrogation into consideration, and work to reduce centralization and give powers to the local authorities in the governorates and branches of ministries to play its role according to what is available.

The Council stressed the need for the National Salvation Government to work to address the issues involved in the interrogation.

The Council decided to give the government a month to work with the comments received in the interrogation and to submit a report thereon to the House of Representatives, after the Prime Minister committed himself to do so.

The council had reviewed and approved its previous minutes and will continue to hold its business sessions tomorrow, Wednesday, God willing.
