The Minister of Transport stresses the importance of training in the field of fighting corruption

The Minister of Transport, Amer Al-Marani, stressed the importance of training and qualifying the Ministry’s cadres in the technical, financial and administrative fields, as this plays a fundamental role in eradicating corruption and promoting transparency and integrity.

 

At the opening of a training of trainers course in the field of promoting transparency, integrity and combating corruption (second batch) today at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Minister Al-Marani pointed out the positive results achieved by the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies and institutions through the joint awareness program with the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, which lasted three Months.

 

He pointed out that the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies and institutions attach great importance to the process of training and qualification in the field of combating corruption, in a way that contributes to the development of various transportation fields.

 

The Minister of Transport praised the efforts of the trainers from the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption to enhance the values ​​and principles of transparency and anti-corruption among the Ministry’s cadres, especially in the financial and administrative fields.

 

The inauguration session, which was attended by the President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the Director General of the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Naji Al-Sahmi, and the Director of Training and Rehabilitation, Mithaq Hussain, and the Ministry’s Relations and Media, Moein Bahjaj, aims to provide 16 trainees from the Ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions, the basic concepts of corruption risks and effects Negative on development.

 

The seven-day course is considered a continuation of the awareness program to enhance transparency, integrity and fight corruption between the Supreme National Authority for Anti-Corruption and the Ministry of Transport and the affiliated bodies and institutions.

 

In addition, the Minister of Transport, along with the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, was briefed on the progress of the training process at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology.

 

The Minister of Transport listened to an explanation from the Director of the Aviation Institute about the progress of the training process at the institute according to the latest educational methods and curricula approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 

The head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology and the director of the institute pointed out that the final version of the initial training curriculum in the field of air safety has been completed by the Training Curriculum Development Committee at the Ministry and the Aviation Institute.
