The Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority condemn the targeting of the aggression airline at Taiz Airport

The Ministry of Transport and the General Authority of Civil Aviation strongly condemned the targeting of the aggression coalition aircraft this evening to Taiz International Airport, which led to the destruction of its facilities.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Transport and the authority said that the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of it, “Today, this evening, two aggressions were launched by the Air Force in the Taiz airport, the first targeting the airport terminal building, while the second targeted the anchorage of the aircraft, causing serious damage.

The statement pointed out that the aggression airline targeted the Taiz airport during the last period with a series of raids that destroyed 60 per cent of its facilities, while today’s raids resulted in the total destruction of the airport facilities.

The statement considered that the aggression alliance targeting Taiz International Airport is a flagrant violation of all international laws and agreements, foremost of which is the Chicago Agreement, which criminalizes targeting civilian airports.

The statement called on the United Nations and the Security Council to condemn the crimes committed by the aggression coalition against the Yemeni people and destroy their capabilities.

The statement also called on the United Nations, the international community and humanitarian organizations to pressure the aggression coalition to stop targeting civilian objects, children and women and to lift the siege that has caused catastrophic humanitarian situations
