The Prime Minister receives a report on the status of the Sana’a International Airport campus

 

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor met  with Transport Minister Amer Al-Marani, who handed him a report on the status of the Sana’a International Airport campus.

The report included the ministry’s vision to preserve the airport campus, including the specific area of ​​the new airport on the western side of the current airport, and to confront the encroachments that affected a number of its lands.

The report pointed to the need for concerted efforts of the various concerned and relevant authorities, foremost of which is the Ministry of Transport, to preserve the airport campus and ensure that the standards and requirements specified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are met.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of taking the necessary measures to preserve the airport campus, and to address various infringements, whatever their size or source.

He directed the formation of a working group comprising representatives of the ministry and various relevant authorities to discuss participatory responsibilities, take measures to preserve the airport campus, and take legal measures against violators and aggressors.

Dr. Bin Habtoor considered any attack on the airport campus an act of sabotage that should be confronted by government agencies and the surrounding community.
