Weather warns of the use of phones and electrical appliances during thunderstorms

Today, the National Meteorological Center has warned citizens against using mobile phones and electrical devices during thunderstorms .

In a warning bulletin, the center advised citizens to take shelter from storms in safe places, warning drivers of vehicles on roads and mountain bends of low horizontal visibility due to low clouds, dirt and fog, as well as rock and mud slides .

The center expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, especially on parts of the mountainous western highlands in general and extending east towards parts of the internal plateaus, to include parts of the highlands of the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Al-Bayda, Shabwa and Marib, during the afternoon and sky periods and may extend until periods of Late at night .

He also expected that the rains would include the coastal areas and the areas adjacent to them in general and the archipelago of Socotra and would be of varying intensity, indicating that the water raft and fog will form on the slopes of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale’e and Lahj .
