Yemen celebrates National Statistics Day

The escalation of crises and their interconnectedness, such as conflicts, natural disasters, and the spread of diseases.
She stressed that the United Nations Population Fund places the issue of statistics among its priorities in Yemen by supporting statistical work related to population issues, as well as supporting capacity building and qualification of statistical cadres, expressing the aspiration to strengthen and expand these partnerships in the future.
Dr. Enas praised the fruitful partnership between the agency and the United Nations Population Fund over many years, stressing the Fund’s commitment to continuing to support Yemen in producing, disseminating and using updated and reliable population data.
The event included a presentation on the achievements of the Central Bureau of Statistics 2021-2023 AD, and another presentation entitled “Yemen in International Indicators and Reports 2016-2023 AD, in addition to a presentation on the Yemeni Statisticians Forum 2023-2024 AD.
The event also included presentations on the population conditions in Yemen and future challenges 2020-2045 AD, Yemen in numbers 2021 AD, and the strategic plan of the Central Bureau of Statistics 2022-2026 AD.
At the conclusion of the event, a number of cadres and employees of the Central Bureau of Statistics were honored, in appreciation of their role in implementing and completing statistical activities, data and surveys during the past period.
