Zakat Authority sponsors the provision of 55 buses and buses for the free transport project “Takafulon”

 

The General Authority for Zakat announced that it is sponsoring the provision of 50 buses and five mass transit buses for the free transport project as part of the “Takafulon” campaign, which was launched by the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, in cooperation with the Yemeni Oil Company and the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the Municipality.

This came in a meeting held today, which included the heads of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nastan, the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Waadi, and the head of the Defense and Security Department in the Prime Minister, Taha Al-Sufyani.

The meeting approved the Zakat Authority’s guarantee of confronting the rent of buses, and the payment of the value of oil derivatives during the campaign period, along with the expenses of the driver and utilities from the “Ibn Al-Sabil Bank”, while the oil company is responsible for providing sufficient quantities of gasoline for the initiative at the official price.

The meeting also approved the preparation of the Zakat Authority, represented by the Awareness and Rehabilitation Sector, and the coordination of a media campaign with the Land Transport Authority, under the slogan “Solidarity” of free transportation.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the work mechanism had been determined by the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, in coordination with the banking sector in the Zakat Authority, to determine routes by the Land Transport Authority.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy of the Zakat Authority for the Banking Sector, Muhammad Al-Ayani, the Director of Community Partnership, God preserve Zayed, and the Director of Awareness and Information, Muhammad Al-Mushki.

It is noteworthy that the Land Transport Regulatory Authority launched, last Saturday, in the capital, Sanaa, the “Takafulon” initiative, in cooperation with the Yemeni Oil Company and the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the Secretariat, to alleviate the suffering of citizens of all segments, due to the lack of oil derivatives, as a result of their detention by the coalition of aggression.
