The Deputy Chief of Staff and Head of the National Team in the Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC), Major General Ali Al-Moshki, and the Acting Head of the United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA), Mari Mashita, inspected the damage to Hodeidah Port as a result of the Zionist aggression.

They heard from Nasr Al-Nusairi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, an explanation of the damage caused by the Zionist aggression. He explained that the port docks were targeted with high-explosive concussion bombs, causing extensive damage. He pointed out that the Israeli enemy has targeted the Red Sea ports more than once, seeking to destroy the only major artery for the entry of food and medicine.

The Deputy Chief of Staff emphasized that the Zionist enemy deliberately destroyed civilian and service infrastructure with the aim of harming the Yemeni people who supported the people of Gaza. He pointed out that these criminal acts will not deter the Yemeni people from fulfilling their sacred religious duty towards the oppressed in Gaza, regardless of the sacrifices.
He urged the UN mission to fulfill its duty to protect civilian ports and carry out its tasks under the Stockholm Agreement, highlighting the mission’s intended role in rehabilitating the damaged ports.

For her part, the UN official explained that the mission’s verification teams conduct regular visits to the three ports throughout the week, and that through today’s visit, they will take into consideration what they have learned and transmit the details to the relevant authorities.
