Discussing the development of administrative work at the Ministry of Transport

 

A meeting held today in Sana’a, chaired by Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami, discussed the mechanism for developing and modernizing the administrative work in the ministry in accordance with the methodology of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state in its fifth axis for administrative development.

The meeting, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs Adel Al-Madani, the Ministry’s Adviser, Ahmed Mayad, and the General Directors, reviewed the level of completion of tasks and work carried out by the Ministry, especially in building and developing the organizational structure and its modern mechanisms in the administrative and human development fields.

The meeting dealt with the difficulties that occurred in light of the Corona pandemic and its impact on the various fields of transportation, as well as the structure and regulations for the ministry’s sectors, job description and the mechanism for its development, in addition to enhancing administrative performance and job discipline after employees return to work according to the decision of the Supreme Committee for Epidemics Control.

The Minister of Transport emphasized the importance of enhancing the administrative and technical performance and developing the organizational structure of the ministry in accordance with what was included in the national vision in its first stage and evaluating the level of performance through training and qualification of functional cadres.

He urged the establishment of a regular mechanism in conducting administrative work according to the laws and regulations included in the modern national vision.

Minister Al-Shami stressed job discipline to develop the sectors’ work in the ministry, pointing out the importance of updating employee data using modern technology and working to improve the conditions of contractors
