A field trip to ensure the implementation of the decision to ban the collection of traffic route fees in the capital secretariat

The head of the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muayyad, along with the Deputy Director of Traffic in the Capital Secretariat, Colonel Hussein Al-Manhi, carried out a field trip to the sorting and parking areas of Bab Al-Yemen, Al-Zahrawi, and Shamilah, to see the extent of the implementation of the decision to prevent the collection of traffic route fees.
During the disembarkation, the head of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority confirmed that the decision to stop collecting route fees comes out of the keenness of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
He pointed out that the authority implemented the decision of the President of the Supreme Political Council in practice to stop collections from all sorting and parking lots of the capital secretariat… indicating that the field visit comes to see the extent of the implementation of the decision and the impression of this on the segment of drivers.
Al-Moayyed also confirmed that the authority will work in cooperation with the Traffic Department to implement campaigns to control those who take any amounts from bus drivers and parking lots in the secretariat.
In turn, the Deputy Director of Traffic of the Secretariat explained that the traffic police will work in coordination with the Land Transport Regulatory Authority to implement the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in this regard.
While a number of bus drivers expressed their satisfaction with the decision of the Supreme Political Council to stop collecting any amounts from bus owners for sorting and parking.
They stressed that the decision will work to alleviate the suffering and burden on drivers, expressing their thanks to the President of the Supreme Political Council for this decision, which reflects his sense of responsibility in alleviating the suffering of citizens and his closeness to them.
The Land Transport Authority confirmed to all drivers in the capital secretariat that the toll-free number 8000007 has been allocated to report any violations, calling on bus drivers in sorting and parking to cooperate with the authority and report violators, and deterrent measures will be taken against those who take any amounts in sorting and parking.
They were accompanied by the deputy director of the Land Transport Affairs Authority branch in the secretariat, Noman Al-Darwani and Abdul-Bari Al-Duraib.
