A meeting chaired by Al-Durra discusses the mechanism for providing the necessary needs for the port of Hodeidah

A meeting in Sana’a, headed by the Minister of Transport of the caretaker government, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, discussed the mechanism for providing the necessary needs for the work of Hodeidah Port, including equipment and heavy equipment.
The meeting, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime and Port Affairs, Captain Muhammad Ishaq, and the Chairman of the General Investment Authority, Yasser Al-Mansour, and via the Internet from Hodeidah, the Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Eng. Yasser Ahmed, his deputy Zaid Al-Washli, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital secretariat, Ali Al-Hadi, and his deputy, Hassan Al-Sayani, reviewed the needs of the port of Hodeidah. Among the machinery and equipment represented by bridge cranes, locomotives, fire engines, and other devices and equipment that were destroyed by the aggression.

At the meeting, the caretaker Minister of Transport stressed the importance of providing bridge cranes, equipment, machinery and devices necessary for the work of Hodeidah Port, through private sector investment in this aspect.
He pointed out the importance of providing these needs, which the United Nations Development Program has delayed and failed to provide since the signing of the Stockholm Agreement in 2018 until today, and has not implemented anything tangible that would benefit the port of Hodeidah.
While the Deputy of the Red Sea Ports Corporation pointed out the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors.
In turn, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed the commitment of the private sector to provide what the port of Hodeidah needs, as this is a priority to serve the public interest.
