A meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport discusses plans and programs for the road transport sector

A meeting in Sana’a, chaired by Minister of Transport Amer Al-Marani, discussed the level of work progress in the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs and the investment plans and programs it implements.

The meeting, which included the Assistant deputy of the Ministry of Transport for the Land Transport Sector, Abdul Malik Ali, and the President of the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs, Walid Al-Wadayi, reviewed the level of achievement in the land transport sector, which contributes to the development and improvement of this sector.

The meeting touched upon the challenges and difficulties facing the land transport sector in general and the authority in particular in light of the aggression and siege.

The Minister of Transport heard from the head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs about what has been accomplished at the level of implementing the projects included in the national vision and the obstacles facing some of them.. He indicated that the authority seeks in its future plans to upgrade the land transport sector through training and qualification of the authority’s cadres in technical aspects Professional, administrative and financial.

At the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed the need to develop and strengthen the land transport sector professionally, technically and administratively, and to upgrade the work of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs to meet future ambitions in this field.

He pointed to the need to implement plans and projects for land transport, as they are of importance to society and are in the interest of the country and the citizen, and work to solve some faltering projects as soon as possible.
