A meeting in Hodeidah approves the final account of the Red Sea Ports Corporation for the year 2021 AD

The Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, in its meeting , chaired by the Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, approved the final account of the Corporation for the year 2021 AD.

The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Captain Mohammed Ishaq, reviewed a number of financial reports of the Corporation, including the evaluation of the financial position for the fourth quarter of the year 2022 AD.

At the meeting, the Minister of Transport praised the procedures of the Financial Affairs Department in correcting the observations and developing solutions to the problems in the financial position for each of the first, second and third quarters of the year 2022 AD.

He explained that the reports currently submitted by the Corporation’s departments are of high quality and standard, directing the continuation of work responsibly, reaffirming the Ministry of Transport’s support for efforts that would improve service and financial performance.

Minister Al-Durra praised the efforts of the institution’s employees and their role in preserving equipment and machinery through maintenance to increase its life span despite the challenges and preventing the entry of spare parts throughout the years of aggression.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime Affairs and Ports, Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finance Nasr Al-Nusairi, representatives of the local authority Ahmed Shaabin, Coast Guard Brigadier General Salman Jami, Director of the Red Sea Sector, Secretary of the Board of Directors Abdul-Ilah Al-Wasabi, Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors Nabil Al-Mazjaji, and Acting Director of Affairs Finance Mohamed Hassan, Deputy Director of Financial Affairs, Adel Faqir, and Accounts Manager, Hassan Al-Rifai.
