A meeting in Sana’a discusses the projects of Sana’a International Airport

A meeting held in Sana’a, which included the Ministers of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra,  Minister of Public Works and Roads, Ghaleb Mutlaq, discussed a mechanism for developing joint cooperation in implementing Sana’a International Airport projects.

The meeting, which was attended by the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Qadir, and the Chargé d’Affaires of Yemen Airways, Khalil Jahaf, reviewed the important projects to be implemented at Sana’a Airport, including the construction of the fence.

Minister of Transport stressed the importance of the Ministry of Works’ role in providing technical and engineering support in a way that contributes to the promotion of projects, praising the engineering and technical expertise of the Ministry.

He stated that the Ministry of Transport and the Aviation Authority are seeking during the coming period to implement expansion projects at the airport, pointing to the interest of the President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a Airport and providing the necessary support for the implementation of development projects.

In turn, the Minister of Works affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to provide aspects of technical and engineering support in a way that contributes to the development of the airport, indicating that Sana’a International Airport is the country’s destination and provides services to all Yemeni people, and everything necessary to develop and modernize its facilities must be implemented.
The meeting was attended by the assistant undersecretaries of the Aviation Authority for the security and safety sector, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, the meteorology sector, Eng. Muhammad Saeed, the airports sector, Yahya Al-Kahlani, the directors of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, and the projects in the authority, Dr. Faraj Baather.
