A meeting to discuss raising the capabilities of weather forecasts

A meeting was held in the meteorology sector , chaired by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Qader, the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, in the presence of the brother, Assistant Deputy for the Meteorology Sector, Eng. Mohamed Saeed Hamid, a number of general directors, and members of the committee assigned by the Supreme National Committee for the inventory and treatment of torrential and rain damages.

The meeting discussed the level of implementation of the meteorology sector for the committee’s matrix to raise the capabilities of weather forecasts, and the establishment of the National Center for Early Warning.

The committee praised the commitment of the meteorology sector to its implementation of the matrix, and the continued provision of its services to all state institutions and citizens in early warning of weather disasters.

She was closely briefed on the progress of work at the National Center of Meteorology and the systems operating in it, the weather studio, and the instrument calibration laboratory and other facilities in the sector.

She expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by Yemeni meteorologists and the advanced level of equipment and work mechanisms that keep pace with global developments in this vital field, which directly affects all economic sectors and different segments of society.
