Anti-corruption receives 19 financial disclosures from the Minister of Transport and Ministry leadership

Today, the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption received the first financial disclosure from the Minister of Transport Zakaria Yahya Al-Shami, in addition to the statements of 18 agents and directors general of the Ministry, in implementation of Law No. (30) for the year 2006 CE, regarding the financial disclosure.

While receiving the declarations through the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Muhammad Muhammad al-Ghashm, he expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Transport and the leadership of the Ministry for their initiative in submitting the declarations in implementation of the law, stressing the importance of integrating roles between government agencies to improve performance related to fighting corruption and strengthening the partnership between the authority and all parties by taking the necessary measures to safeguard public money The public job is illegal.

The president of the commission pointed out the importance of joint work between the various authorities to strengthen legal preventive measures to combat corruption and combat illicit enrichment.

During the handing of the declarations in the presence of a member of the Anti-Corruption Commission, head of the National Legislation Review and Evaluation Committee, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Malik Hamid El Din, the Minister of Transport affirmed the ministry’s keenness to enhance the partnership with the authority through a joint work mechanism that includes raising awareness, educating and building the capabilities of the ministry’s employees and its affiliated bodies in areas related to transparency And to combat corruption, the principles of good governance and a code of professional conduct in line with the national vision for building the state.

Al-Shami considered that this would contribute to strengthening anti-corruption efforts as a national, legal and ethical task.

It was agreed to set a joint work program between the authority and the Ministry of Transport, which includes awareness and education through workshops and various activities organized in all facilities of the ministry and its affiliated bodies.

The head of the financial statements and the anti-illicit enrichment department, Tawfiq Al-Qubati and a number of the authority’s officials, attended the receiving of the statements.
