Discussing the mechanism for developing executive plans for safety sector projects in the Civil Aviation Authority

 

A meeting held in Sana’a, chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport Mohammed Al-Hashemi, discussed the mechanism for developing the executive plans for the projects of the civil aviation safety and security sector in the General Authority of Civil Aviation, according to what was included in the national vision in its second phase 2022 AD.

The meeting, which was attended by the Authority’s Assistant Undersecretary for the Aviation Safety Sector, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Talib, members of the main executive unit at the Ministry of Transport and directors of safety sector departments, reviewed a report on the accomplished programs and activities of the national vision in accordance with the current situation and the directions and guidelines included during the second phase of the current year.

He touched on the safety sector plan included in the strategic plan of the Civil Aviation Authority and Meteorology for the year 2021-2025 AD, in accordance with international requirements and conditions and the ICAO Civil Aviation Organization.

The Deputy Minister of Transport indicated that the civil aviation security safety sector is one of the important sectors, as it is concerned with legislation and oversight of all civil aviation activities in a way that contributes to securing the lives of passengers and the safety of aviation.

He pointed out that the safety of civil aviation and the development of its technical and professional fields is a top priority and an international requirement in the field of civil aviation, stressing the keenness and interest of the Ministry of Transport in the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority and its various sectors.

In turn, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Safety Sector reviewed the achievements made by the sector in the past period, especially with regard to the national vision in a number of areas, including training, rehabilitation and human capacity development for the sector’s cadres.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Transport and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Safety Sector inspected the level of job discipline and the mechanism of technical and professional work in the sector.

They heard from the specialists an explanation of the tasks and nature of the safety sector and the role entrusted to it in providing its services to all beneficiaries and the problems they face in the technical and professional aspects.

The Deputy Minister of Transport stressed the need to exert more efforts to improve the work of the safety and civil aviation security sector.
