Discussing the mechanism of preserving the lands and campuses of Sanaa Airport

 

A  meeting in Sana’a, chaired by the Minister of Transport, Deputy Chairman of the Main Technical Committee for the lands and campuses of Sana’a Airport, Amer Al-Marani, discussed the mechanism of work of the two sub-committees for implementing the fence, receiving complaints and redressing those affected.

The meeting reviewed the tasks entrusted to the two committees and their operational plans to contribute to the completion of their work, stressing the need for the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology to complete the study of the fence project and provide the necessary funding for the implementation of the project and field visits to inspect the path of the fence and submit a report on the lands and homes located in the path of the fence and take the necessary measures to facilitate the implementation The project.

The meeting also agreed that the Complaints and Redress Committee will hold a meeting next Monday to review the report submitted by the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology on the lands that have been compensated within and outside the path of the fence, and inventory the lands that have not been compensated within the path of the fence and submit proposals to address what has not been compensated Previously.

The Minister of Transport stressed the speedy completion of the work of the formed committees and the start of implementation in a way that contributes to preserving the lands and campus of the airport, pointing to the importance of everyone sensing responsibility and working in a team spirit to develop effective solutions, both in their areas of competence, and to come up with clear visions.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Committee for Receiving Complaints and Redress for Affected Persons, Dr. Ismail Al-Wazir, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector Abdullah Al-Ansi, Undersecretary of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Chairman of the Airport Fence Implementation Committee, Raed Jabal, and Advisor to the Ministry of Transport, Muhammad Al-Sharif, and a number of specialists in the fence implementation and reception committees Complaints and redress for the affected.

The main technical committee to preserve the lands and precincts of Sana’a International Airport in its previous meeting had formed four committees, including the Fence Execution Committee, the Committee for Receiving Complaints and Redressing the Affected, the Committee for the Implementation of Neighborhood Units and Streets in the vicinity of the airport, and the Obstacles Monitoring Committee in the vicinity of the airport.
