Discussing the performance of the container terminal in Hodeidah Port

A meeting at the port of Hodeidah, chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Marine Engineer Yasser, and Mohamed Ahmed Sir, discussed the progress of work at the container terminal and the level of efforts made to keep pace with the entry of container ships into the port.

The meeting, which included the Corporation’s Vice President, Zaid Al-Washli, and the terminal’s leadership, reviewed the difficulties and needs facing the container terminal as a result of the damage to the bridge cranes and ground handling equipment and mechanisms, which were targeted by the aggression aircraft in mid-August 2015, which led to the terminal being out of readiness.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors and his deputy noted the remarkable efforts made by the station’s leadership and employees and their role in enhancing, maintaining and developing the station’s operational process despite the scarcity of capabilities and the lack of equipment and mechanisms that enable the station to operate at its full capacity.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors and his deputy stressed the importance of enhancing coordination between all relevant parties and departments to ensure improvement and facilitation of the services provided by the station to its customers.
The meeting was attended by the Foundation’s Director of Financial Affairs, Abdullah Harbah, and Legal Affairs Director, Mutahar Al-Amdi.
