Discussing the procedures for the single window project in the port of Hodeidah

A meeting in the port of Hodeidah, chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Mohammed Abu Bakr Ishaq,  Monday, May 15, 2023, discussed the progress of work in implementing the procedures for the services of the agencies operating in the corporation’s ports through the single window project in the port of Hodeidah.

The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Dr. Yasser Al-Mansour, and the Vice President of the Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, reviewed the level of achievement of the work teams and the extent of efficiency in improving the overall services and granting licenses to serve the maritime activity and the speed of work turnover in unloading ship loads and transporting goods.

 

At the meeting, Captain Ishaq praised the efforts made by the technical, engineering and technical teams in the course of preparing the project to serve the commercial and navigational process by linking it to a single party to ensure the acceleration of the completion of the services provided by the Ports Corporation and the agencies operating in the port community of Hodeidah.

The single window project was considered one of the strategic projects of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, on which it is based to achieve a quantum leap in overcoming procedures related to the mechanism of receiving and unloading commercial ships by allocating one place for offices and agencies operating in the port of Hodeidah.

 

The head of the institution stressed the teams assigned to quickly complete and complete the work related to this project in order to enable construction work to start at the specified location, indicating that the site for the construction of the single window building will be handed over to the General Investment Authority to start implementing it according to the approved engineering designs.

 

For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Dr. Al-Mansour, pointed out that the success of this project will contribute to facilitating procedures, shortening time and effort, completing the documentary cycle and transactions related to unloading ships and transporting goods to the governorates, in line with the requirements of the next stage.
