Discussing the readiness of the administrations of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation in the face of aggression and siege and the implementation of the second phase of the national vision

 

A meeting of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation in the port of Hodeida on Saturday 19-2-2022 AD, chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, discussed a number of aspects related to the performance and activity of the service institution for the current year 2022 AD.

The meeting, in the presence of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Yahya Abbas Sharaf El-Din, reviewed the readiness of the ports and administrations of the Corporation in the face of aggression and siege, and the implementation of the strategic plans of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state “Phase Two” 2021-2025 AD (institutional structure, rebuilding and strengthening the elements of stability.(

The meeting stressed the importance of the role of the service and humanitarian ports in the current stage as a lifeline in securing the arrival of food, medicine, oil derivatives and humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people and securing the needs of more than 70% of the Yemeni people.

He stressed the need to exert more efforts to continue the work of the Corporation’s ports and to provide navigational services and facilities for ships that reach the draft and berths of the Corporation’s ports.

The meeting reiterated that the Corporation carries out its activities with specialized civil cadres from its sons and ports that comply with the International System of Port Security ( ISPS ) and that ships returning to it are subject to monitoring procedures from the United Nations ( UNVIM ).

The meeting was attended by the general managers of the departments of the institution.
