Discussing the technical arrangements for the single window project in the port of Hodeidah

A meeting in the port of Hodeidah today, Saturday, 03 Ramadan 1444 AH  to March 25, 2023, chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Ahmed Al-Washli, discussed the technical arrangements for the single window project to be established in the port.

The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Dr. Yasser Al-Mansour, the Deputy Director General of the Civil Service Office, Abdullah Haidar, and the Director General of Maritime Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mushki, reviewed the technical requirements for implementing the one-stop-shop project according to the prepared designs.

The project aims to achieve the highest level of efficiency of procedures and smooth handling of services, in which the specialists will have full powers to deal with customers and complete their transaction procedures through their contact with one party to obtain all licenses for the services provided by the corporation’s ports and the port community, in a way that enhances the navigational activity and the speed of work turnover in unloading and deportation the goods.

At the meeting, Al-Washli praised the efforts of the technical, engineering and technical teams exerted in completing the project to serve the commercial and navigational process and linking it to one side and under one roof.

He considered the project strategic, as it includes all offices and agencies operating in the port of Hodeidah to ensure the speedy inspection and inspection of goods, the extent of their conformity with specifications and standards, and the speed of release and deportation.

He stressed the importance of doubling efforts to complete the project with the aim of shortening the documentary cycle and transactions related to unloading ships and transporting goods to the governorates, in line with the requirements of the next stage.

While the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment indicated that the success of this project will facilitate procedures and reduce the time and effort for customers dealing with the port through the relevant authorities in one location.

The meeting was attended by the general directors of marine operations, Captain Muhammad Al-Sayes, the container terminal, Captain Shawqi Murshed, planning and statistics, Dr. Waddah Mujammal, human resources Ahmed Atta, berths and squares Khaled Hamid, services and equipment, Dr. Yasser Jamah, and a number of the Corporation’s technicians.
