Discussing the workflow and reviewing the level of job discipline in the port of Hodeidah

Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, and his deputy, Mohammad Al-Hashemi, discussed, during a meeting led by the Red Sea Ports Corporation via Zoom technology, the progress of work in the port of Hodeidah and the extent of job discipline after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

Al-Durrah and Al-Hashemi listened to an explanation from the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, about the extent of efforts made to improve services, develop mechanisms for completing tasks, speed up transactions for unloading ships, transporting arriving goods, and finding alternatives and solutions that ensure smooth and speedy implementation of procedures.

Al-Durra and Al-Hashemi praised the effective efforts made by the Corporation’s leadership and employees, mobilizing all energies to activate the activity of the Red Sea ports and achieve the best image in improving the services of commercial and maritime traffic.

He noted the importance of the port of Hodeidah, which is one of the important economic facilities for the commercial movement that contributes to serving all the Yemeni people, stressing the need to redouble efforts to keep pace with the navigational activity that the Corporation’s ports are currently witnessing.

He urged the Minister of Transport and his deputy to enhance aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the port administration and the relevant authorities and those who deal with them, which would facilitate services and speed up the process of releasing arriving goods.

For his part, Al-Washli indicated that the process of entry of ships to the draft or berths of the port is carried out naturally, in coordination with the shipping companies.

The meeting was attended by the director of the office of the head of the institution, Nabil Al-Mazaji, and the directors of human resources, Ahmed Atta, and the directors of legal affairs, Mutahar Al-Amdi.

Today, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, inspected the level of job discipline in the port of Hodeidah, following the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

Al-Washli was briefed on the progress of work in the public administrations and facilities of the port of Hodeidah on the first official working day, the mechanism of follow-up and implementation of activities, and the overall work entrusted to the port’s work movement.

He noted the level of discipline of the cadre and workers, the extent of care to carry out tasks, improve performance and commitment to work, as well as the continuation of the cadre assigned to perform duty during the Eid holiday, as an embodiment of the public interest.

Al-Washli confirmed that the corporation’s leadership seeks, through its desired vision and its cadres, to achieve qualitative success during the coming period that raises the level of services and business in conjunction with what the port of Hodeidah is witnessing in terms of restoring its navigational activity.

During the meeting with managers and employees of departments and workers, he referred to the development plan for the institution’s work to translate the directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the government and the leadership of the Ministry of Transport.
