Discussion of the mechanism for overcoming the procedures for checking and inspecting containers in the port of Hodeidah

A meeting in the port of Hodeidah , Monday 8-14-1444 AH corresponding to 6-3-2023 AD, discussed aspects of coordination between the concerned authorities, to overcome and speed up the procedures for checking and inspecting containers entering the port.

The meeting, which included the Director General of the Standards and Metrology Authority branch in the governorate, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dawla, the Deputy Director General of the Container Terminal, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mortada, and the Director of the Plant Quarantine Station, Muhammad Al-Ghashim, reviewed government directives to grant merchants and importers facilities in conjunction with the flow of ships and the restoration of container activity in the port.

The meeting stressed the importance of integration and work within the framework of the single window between all concerned parties, to ensure the speedy inspection and inspection of goods, their conformity with specifications and standards, and the speed of their release and deportation.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director General of the berths and squares, Jaber Kulaib, the Director of the Inspection Department at the Hodeidah Port Customs, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kahlani, his deputy Muhammad Al-Dhari, and the specialists and stakeholders in the relevant authorities
