Honoring the Minister of Transport with the shield of Sana’a International Airport

Today, the Minister of Transport, Zakaria Al-Shami, honored the shield of the Sana’a Airport, first class, for his interest in efforts to preserve the airport’s readiness during the five years of aggression.

During the honor, Minister Shami expressed his thanks for this honor, praising the steadfastness of the workers at Sana’a airport and their efforts that thwarted the enemy’s efforts to paralyze air navigation at the airport.

He urged to continue the process of developing and modernizing the airport’s facilities, noting the capabilities of its cadres and the expertise it has in the field of civil aviation in accordance with international requirements.

For his part, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology drew attention to the quality of air navigation services for the airport and its commitment to ICAO international conditions and standards.

In turn, the director of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, appreciated the support of the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology for his efforts to develop and modernize the airport and maintain its availability.

And that the airport will operate at the same pace and in a better manner, and that will contribute to achieving the best navigational services in the field of civil aviation.

The honoring was attended by Walid Al-Wadii, Chairman of the General Authority for Land Transport Regulation, Director General of Air Transport, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, Deputy Director General of Sana’a International Airport, Ossan Jarallah Omar, and employees of the General Administration of Electricity at the airport.
