Implementation of the works of the asphalting projects of Road “B” and the asphalt plaza in the ports of Hodeida and Saleef continues
The implementation of a rehabilitation and asphalting project on the left side of the asphalt road “B” for the exit of trucks on the main and secondary roundabouts is currently underway in the port of Hodeida, which is implemented by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, with self-financing from the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, and the follow-up and supervision of the General Administration of Projects and Engineering Supervision in the Corporation.
The project includes treating and compensating the earthen base layer, making all the adjustments and tendencies for drainage, and compacting an asphalt layer 10 cm thick for the road, designed to bear the weights of trucks and the corrosion of the surface with a length of 776 meters, in addition to the lengths of the main and secondary rotors, connecting entrances and exits to the road.
In addition, the procedures for implementing a project to rehabilitate and asphalt asphalt yard in Saleef Port have begun, with the repair of the damaged areas with an area of 17,800 square meters.
Preparatory works for the project are currently being implemented according to the studies prepared by the General Administration of Projects and Engineering Supervision of the Corporation.
The implementation of the two projects comes within the projects of developing and rehabilitating the infrastructure, including the service road network for the ports of the Corporation, which is necessary for the operational movement of trucks loaded with goods, and within the framework of the directives of the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state
